Gold Award for City
[B&NES]

THE City of Bath has been given the Gold Award in this year’s South West in Bloom competition.
The judges visited Bath on July 21, for a whistle stop tour that included visits to Lansdown Cemetery, William Herschel Museum, Widcombe School and John Slessor Court before ending at Parade Gardens.
This is the 16th time that Bath has won gold in this competition in the city category since 1973.

In addition to the Gold Award, this year the city has won a new award for Local Heritage - this is awarded to the city that has shown the most commitment to the community and its local heritage.
We can only continue to win these awards whilst we work closely with the community and other departments so we would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped us with this competition.
