Images of Bath and Italy

[19/11/04]

LANDSCAPES of the city of Bath and the Upper Tiber Valley in Italy will be on display at a new exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath until Sunday, January 16th 2005.

Created by Bath-based artist William Rose, the paintings feature many famous scenes of the city including Pulteney Bridge, Widcombe Lock and Grand Parade Bridge.

These are displayed alongside works of art depicting the Upper Tiber Valley in Italy where the artist has a second home.

Also featured are a series of whimsical figures including chefs, nudes and a selection of people on the streets of Bath at their daily business – shopping, posting a letter or dropping the children off at school.
