Will your community benefit from a Street Safe session?

A NEW project is being piloted by Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Community Safety & Drugs Partnership, with the Learning & Skills Council and the Bringing Us Together Community Group.

The ‘Street-Safe Sessions’ aim to improve peoples’ confidence and their personal safety when they’re out and about.

The project has been developed as a result of a recent survey where residents requested some training on self-defence because they thought it would improve their quality of life.

The ‘Street-Safe Sessions’ will be led by a friendly, fully trained self defence instructor and will last between two and three hours. They’ll be held in community venues and schools, at times convenient for parents and older people.

If you think this project could meet a need in your local area, and would like to discuss the possibility of hosting a session, please telephone the Community Safety Team on 01225 477889.
