BATH & North East Somerset Council has now sold over 10,000 compost bins to local residents thanks to its popular compost bin offer.

Bath and North East Somerset Council have been offering compost bins from £10 to encourage people to take up composting at home and turn their kitchen and garden waste into a useful soil conditioner rather than throwing it away in landfill sites where it rots down to produce dangerous gases.

More and more people are looking to compost their waste and enjoy the environmental benefits both for themselves and the world around them.

In addition to recycling as much as possible, people are also looking to reduce their waste further by turning their organic waste into compost.
